Yoga ~ Psychotherapy ~ Learning Disabilities Consultation
Deb Sherrer, M.A., CYT has bridged the fields of education and psychology her whole professional life. She has worked in public and private settings in special education, school psychology, and clinical roles. Her interests include working with college and high school students regarding learning variation, as well as deepening her study and practice of the therapeutic benefits of yoga and meditation, as it can be applied to a variety of personal growth and/or therapeutic needs (e.g., learning, trauma, grief, and infertility.) Deb has bachelor’s degree in regular and special education, a master’s degree in clinical psychology, and is a licensed school psychologist. She is a certified Vajra yoga instructor and has engaged in additional therapeutic yoga training at the Trauma Center in Brookline, MA and the School for Compassionate Action in NYC. She offers learning consultation, psychotherapy, and therapeutic yoga (private and group) at the Vermont Center for Integrative Therapy. General yoga classes and workshops are offered on-site, as well as at Laughing River Yoga. When not fully engaged in work and family life, Deb writes poetry, essays, and memoir.
